Hello, I’m Lis… a self-confessed craft addict! Having done pottery at school there was a long break before I picked it up again but have been gaining momentum ever since I was enabled by a fellow potter to spread my wings!

 

I feel like a kid in a sweet shop where clay is concerned: so many clays, glazes, tools, techniques and the variety of things you can make is endless. It doesn’t always go to plan but usually it’s just as you’d hope or there are the delightful and unexpected outcomes.

 

One of the things I love the most though is sharing what I know with others. There is nothing quite as magical as seeing an individual who thinks they’re not creative produce objects that are beautiful or practical or both. The possibilities are infinite, the results unpredictable sometimes. There’s something magical about turning a lump of mud into something amazing.

 

I’m inspired and excited by the idea that pottery can be accessible to all, which historically I’d never thought it could be. So, come along and find out for yourself.
